How we run the CCG
We put governance systems in place to assure local people, patients and our stakeholders that NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group is being run efficiently, ethically, legally, and transparently. Within the NHS, governance falls into two main categories - corporate and clinical.
Corporate governance is about the day to day management of the organisation. It makes sure we have the correct processes for decision making. Read more about how we make decisions on our About Us pages. You can also read about how we manage Conflicts of Interest on the Declarations of Interest section of the website.
Our clinical governance is our approach to maintaining and improving the quality of patient care in Great Yarmouth and Waveney. It is how we make sure all patients are protected through commissioning and in particular children and vulnerable adults. You can read about our Safeguarding arrangements here.
Our governance framework
NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney CCG work within a governance framework. This is set out in our Constitution
If there is something you would like to know about the way we work that you cannot find on our website you can submit a Freedom of Information request.
