Volunteering

Volunteering

Voluntary Norfolk and Community Action Suffolk can help to find the right volunteering opportunity for you locally.

vInspired is a charity that connects people aged 14 to 25 years old to a volunteering opportunity to suit you.

NCVO (The National Council for Voluntary Organisations) champions and strengthens volunteering and civil society, with over 10,000 members, from the largest charities to the smallest community organisations and can help you if you want to become a volunteer.

Volunteering Matters offer brilliant opportunities to volunteer full and part-time and make a huge difference to someone's life, spending six months to a year away from home dedicating your time to helping others.

Young people are welcome to volunteer at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Many young people who are considering applying to study medicine, nursing, other professions allied to medicine or managerial, clerical and support services may find spending time doing voluntary work at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital will help them decide on a future career. However, it is not possible to consider them for ward help until they are over 17 and a half years old.

James Paget University Hospital volunteers have to be 18 years old and over and their hospital radio, Radio Yare is also run by volunteers.
